Introduction to Networking for Medical Professionals

In February The Medical Room were pleased to host a seminar at The Chorley and South Ribble Hospital’s Life Centre. The course was attended by 35 medical engineering professionals from Hospital Trusts across the North of England.

The course focused on networking essentials for Medical Technology Professionals and provides an introduction to the knowledge needed to disconnect a medical device from a network and to join the medical device to a network once the appropriate repairs or servicing has been completed. The course also covers network devices such as routers, switches and access points. It serves as an excellent introduction into this fast-growing area of medical technology and is aimed at medical technology professionals who are looking to develop new skills in the rapidly growing subject of networked medical devices. It is also an ideal foundation for those looking to progress on to our fully accredited 5-day Medical Equipment Networking course

The course was presented by Andrew Watson a Cisco Systems certified engineer and along with Andrew we are planning more 1 day “introduction courses” throughout the year along with the more intensive 5 day course.

Following the seminar we have received requests to run courses in other parts of the country and are currently organising further dates.

If you would like delegate information and a course prospectus for one of these dates please send an email enquiry to ask@tmrces.com and we will be please to forward this information to you.
